Week 5

                                        REACH OUT TO YOUTH

ROTY is a part of Wayne State School of Medicine Black Medical Association.  It was founded by Dr. Carolyn King and Dr. Donald Tynes 26 years ago the event is held every February for children ages 7 to 11.  This year it was held on February 14, 2015 here are a few photography I took for the event.

Week 4-1

The Symposium was nice it gave lots of insight for up and coming business and for those who are already in business and also need funding.  It would have been nice if they would have had someone on the panel who knew about non-profit.

I did mine in 40 second, every one on the panel and the attendees clap. 

Week 4

We had a visitor from Blackstone Launch Pad is apart of Wayne State University.
He spoke about Blackstone and what it offers student entrepreneurs who are starting new ventures.
They help you recognize your opportunity, assess the feasibility of your idea and create a strategy for your success.  They work with non-profit as well as non-profit, Aubrey who is the Senior Program Administrator of BLP took time to listen to each student business idea.

Blackstone Launch Pad is hosting a funding symposium on February 12th, I will attend and report on what I learned.

Week 3-3

Q 1.  Define who you are

 

I’m a non profit organization helping people with Multiple Myeloma and blood cancers, and children with cancers.

 

Q 2.  Describe what you do.

 

We create media awareness on MM and other health issues, also cover events and do transfer of all types of media from one form to another. We do lectures and workshops and have a outreach program.

 

Q 3.  Identify your ideal clients/customers.

 

Our people with Multiple Myeloma and other blood cancers, and children ages 12-17 with cancer and their families.   Also anybody who needs photographs or video for an event and people who need their old media turned into new.

 

Q 4.  Explain what’s unique and different about you and your business.

 

We are an organization that and help people with MM which I also have, which is such a rare form of cancer.  We bring awareness to other that has no clue of this type of cancer; also we bring joy to children through the lens to tell their stories and give workshops the let those with cancer be creative.

 

Q 5.  State what you want to happen next.

I wish I was granted three wishes, the first I would cure all illness, the second I would replenish the earth, and third I would wish for three more wishes.

 

Q. 7.  Put it all together.

 

We all have dreams and those wishes that’s just what they are.  But I do have a wish that my organization could help those that have Multiple Myeloma and other blood cancers.  And children with cancer, we want to bring enjoyment and some fulfillment into their lives.  To inform the public about MM and other health issues by creating PSA, Brochures and Booklets and giving lectures.  Also by providing a library with information on these types of cancers and book on Herbs, Heath and other enlighten information.  Our workshop and summer camp are set up to those that are ill something to keep their minds off their sickness.

Personal Mission Statement

 

I am at my best when I'm doing the things I love.
I will try to prevent times when someone want to force their opinion about me on me and want to argue that they no me. Or when they accuse me of being something I'm not..
I will enjoy my work by finding employment where I can Work with media and shoot events photos and create video and teach workshops..
I will find enjoyment in my personal life through Travel around the world and take photographs and visit ruins..
I will find opportunities to use my natural talents and gifts such as Herbs, crafts, photos, organizational skills, kindness..
I can do anything I set my mind to. I will Build Alim Herbarium Research Center from the ground up and bring in children with cancer from all over the world to attend the workshop and summer camp. Also for anyone who wanted to visit AHRC. Send people with blood cancer any place in the world they wanted to visit for a week. Work on help finding all the information about Myeloma, in order to passed that information to the public..
My life's journey is To make Alim Herbarium Research Center (DBA) The Alchemist Way know all over the world. And to help as many people with information on Multiple Myeloma an other blood cancers. Work with children with any type of caner to enjoy them self through the art of photos and video and crafts. Give an outlet to children to express themselves with any form of art. Open up support place for people with Multiple Myeloma and other blood cancers, outreach to people over 40 years of age for screening and lecture and churches and senior housing.
I will be a person who If I live to be 80 years old with having this type of cancer but I would like them to be truthful about the thing the say about me that what I would like most.
My most important future contribution to others will be Kindness, being a good mother, sister, grandmother, daughter and friend.

I will stop procrastinating and start working on:

• Not being so blunt with people
• Stop being so picky

I will strive to incorporate the following attributes into my life:

• Supreme Wisdom and Knowledge and Creator
• Powerhouse of Media, Executive Producer of television and movies
• Educated business women

I will constantly renew myself by focusing on the four dimensions of my life:

• Live a health life style
• Living and expressing my true self.
• Having peace of mind and keeping my mind sharp.
• Being myself with people in my life and being loving to myself and others
